Our Pastor

Pastor John D. Jordan & Mrs. Kathy Jordan

Pastor Jordan came to First Baptist Church in Laurel on February 3, 2002 from Alabama where he had served as Assistant Pastor to Pastor J. Craig Holmes at God's Way Baptist Church in Troy for almost 7 years.

He has been involved in youth ministry, bus ministry, Sunday school ministry, soul winning and visitation ministry, as well as other areas of day to day ministry in the local church. He also has a Bachelors Degree in Biblical Studies.

Pastor Jordan has a heart for people of all ages and of all walks of life. His desire is to see lost souls come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and to see Christians grow in their Christian faith. 

The church has seen steady growth under Pastor Jordan's leadership. Several new ministries have been started along with the continuance of many existing ministries. The church is also preparing to construct new facilities for its growing ministry on a beautiful 18 acre tract of land recently purchased.
